Rising Star Awards
These awards are presented to rising sophomore, junior, and senior student leaders for exhibiting exceptional leadership ability, contribution to campus life, university pride and potential for other leadership roles. Recipients must exhibit a strong sense of school pride and spirit and maintain good academic standing.
New Student Organization of the Year Award
This award is presented to the registered student organization that has distinguished itself during its first two years of existence on campus.
Student Organization Growth Award
This award is presented to any registered student organization that has shown remarkable improvement over the past year and made great contributions to campus life.
Outstanding Co-Sponsored Program
This award is presented to the registered student organizations that planned and provided the most outstanding co-sponsored program that positively impacted students on campus and demonstrated collaboration and teamwork among organizations.
Outstanding Program of the Year
This award is presented to the registered student organization which conceived, planned and implemented a program that demonstrates collaboration, development, and leadership.
Outstanding Student Employee
This award honors an outstanding student employee who works in an on-campus department.
Unsung Hero Award
This award is presented to one student who puts their heart and soul into everything they do. This student consistently goes above and beyond, but often goes unrecognized. This award recognizes a student who works behind-the-scenes of a successful recognized student organization, athletic team, group, or residential community. This award is given to a student who consistently gives their all, going above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis without expectation of recognition.
Lions Impact Award
This award honors exceptional students, faculty, staff, and organizations for special and significant impact on the Piedmont campus community.
Student Organization Member of the Year
This award is presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and leadership to their organization.
Student Organization Advisor of the Year
Presented to a campus student organization advisor who has gone above and beyond the requirements for the organization they advise. Advisor must exemplify strong leadership characteristics, have pride in their organization and campus and demonstrate regular interaction with their organization.
Lions Pride Senior Leadership Award
This award is presented to senior or graduate student leaders who have established a long-term record of service and leadership in student organizations and campus activities. Recipients must display a strong sense of school pride and spirit, serve as role models for other student leaders, have significantly impacted co-curricular life at Piedmont, maintain good academic standards and have overall outstanding leadership history throughout their careers at Piedmont.
Dean's Excellence in Leadership Award
This award is presented to the registered student organizations that planned and provided the most outstanding co-sponsored program that positively impacted students on campus and demonstrated collaboration and teamwork among organizations.
